01. International Urla Artichoke Festival:

Held annually in the last week of April, the festival promotes the Urla Artichoke, a perennial herb endemic to the Urla Peninsula. The festival offers culinary workshops, food talks, exhibitions, music concerts, and tasting events, and is a popular gathering spot for world-famous chefs.

02. Urla Vintage Festival:

This traditional festival has been held for over 20 years in August when it is said “oil seeps in olives and honey trickles in grapes”, in cooperation with Urla Municipality and Chamber of Agriculture. It takes place in Malgaca Market, where grapes grown throughout the year are collected and presented to visitors, accompanied by folk dances, drums, and pipes. The festival also includes a competition among grape producers, with awards given to the top-ranked producers.

03. Barbaros Scarecrow Festival:

This festival, which began in 2016 with the support of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Urla Municipality, and West Urla Villages Association, is a must-see event in Urla. It features scarecrow mannequins on every corner, creating an enjoyable atmosphere. The festival includes contests for the most beautiful scarecrow, courtyard and food.

04. Nohutalan Melon Festival:

Also held in August, this festival celebrates the Nohutalan melon and features a contest for the best melon. Visitors can enjoy live music and purchase dry-grown melons from local producers, with around 1500 melons sold during the festival each year weighing close to 5 tons.
